Monsoon is here to stay - Black and white Weekend

I am back on my photoblog, and really hope to be regular on this.

Monsoon brings a certain smile on my face all the time, and adds the most color in everything around me. Somehow everything looks so much more fresh around the most dull surroundings. Since the theme for the weekend is Black and White Weekends, I hope I have been able to capture the freshness of this plant even without the color. :)

This LOW mileage bike was on display at R-City mall, Ghatkopar (West). This bike was made of wood, used for promotion of the store called 'The EARTH'.

Very creative idea..according to me.

Skywatch Friday -

As a child I always used to imagine various things in the shape of the clouds. While travelling back from work, I found a huge image in the sky in clouds. I leave it to your imagination of what you can make out of this image.

The new buses in my city now have something to entertain the commuters who spend 1/4th of their day travelling in these buses. For me, thats entertainment.

They say earthworms are farmer's best friend. I am a farmer in my own little balcony where I tend to small plants. Recently, this tiny fella gave a small visit to my plants and I decided that he should make some friends during his journey.

Its my world - A dying art of embroidery.

Had recently been to a shop in the mall opposite my home. I was surprised that they actually had a person performing hand embroidery in the shop, and I must say I was impressed with the strategy of the shop, because with all the new advances in technology, hand embroidery is definitely a dying art.

Its like I am under water...

I liked this image a lot. Originally clicked through the window of my car, this image somehow gives me a feeling like I am under water. I wonder if everyone else feels the same way.

We have been desperate to get some rains to avoid water cuts in Mumbai...Its been raining since 2 days...and this is what I find in Mumbai. Somehow, dont know whether we should be happy about rains or sad for those who are tolerating water logging..

No discrimination

Thank goodness HE doesnt discriminate who he showers his rains on. Not a very incredible bird...but surely deserves a space on my blog, because even I dont discriminate against birds.

A quack quack here and a quack quack there...

I didnt know there could be ducks in the city too, that too in the middle of a heavily populated area of Mumbai??? Wow...RARE...couldnt stop myself from shooting (spare me PETA) these gorgeous feathered ones.

Its raining *** hahaha....not really...

Getting back to the roots

Took this beautiful Man-Made tree's shot at Inorbit Mall, Vashi on 1st July 2009. I am a multimedia designer, and took an attempt to try some skills on this pic. Hope it turned out well.

You and I in this beautiful world.

You guys have already met Kaalu. Today I introduce you all to my other favourite pet during my morning walks. Meet Maurya...He is my neighbour's relative's dog. Recently the relatives were out of town for 2 weeks and I had the pleasure of spending time with this gorgeous hunk.

Unfortunately, the relatives came back yesterday and I could'nt say good bye to him. The good news however is that he is just 2 blocks away and I get to see him every morning on the way to gym, while aunty waits for her children to get into the school bus :)

A mother's watchful eye is always around... :) Clicked this photograph on the way back from gym, wherein these naughty puppies were playing in the dirt while their mother watched...
